Father’s Day Social Club

June 15th, 2019.

Hello New Dealers!

First of all, we would like to thank you for coming to our last Social Club where we had the experience to talk about FATHER’S DAY, which is a celebration honoring fathers and celebrating fatherhood, paternal bonds and the influence of fathers in society; and that’s why we wanted to celebrate with our students and academic team such important day; so we prepared two activities to have fun while learning English. Those activities were:

  1. The Hot Seat: The objective of this game was to learn adjectives by using them to describe fathers. Students took places on The Hot Seat and one adjective was given to the rest of our students so that they could describe the adjective without saying it, and the student on the hot seat had to guess. That way they could learn adjectives like: Funny, kind, good listener, grumpy, hardworking, among others.
  2. What’s my problem? In this activity, one piece of paper with a phrase on it was stuck on each student´s back and working in pairs, their partner had to describe the problem, so the other one could guess. Whit this game, students had the opportunity to practice their communicative skills.

To finish the Social Club, New Deal prepared gifts for the fathers Ferdinand and Angel, whom were happy to receive them.

We hope to see you in our next Social Club: COPA AMÉRICA! Do you want to have a great time? Yes?, so don’t miss it.

See you soon, New Dealers!!!
